When creating a new user in VitXi there is an option to ‘Send account email to user’. That is fine, but there are times, especially when onboarding, where we don’t want to send that info out at that time. Would like to see an option to send account credentials to a user at any time, not unlike the capability provided in VitalPBX Extensions and VitalPBX Connect.
To provide some context on how the system handles security, all user credentials within VitXi are fully encrypted. Because of this encryption, the system cannot retrieve or “read back” an existing password to resend it in its original form at a later time.
One potential solution that comes to mind would be adding an option to reset and send new credentials. This would allow you to generate a fresh set of login details and deliver them to the user whenever you choose, which would bypass the encryption limitation by creating a new entry rather than attempting to send the old one.
Yes that is the expected behavior. Also toss in the ability to alter the Email Template for such a message.
