Yealink W90DM - Base Stations Show "Active" but Not "Active Sync" and Marked as "Abnormal Status"

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Yealink W90DM and W90B base stations. The base stations are using DECT Sync (not LAN Sync), and all firmware is up to date. The sync level is set to “Automatic.” However, the base stations are shown as “Active” but not “Active Sync,” and they are marked as “Abnormal Status” in the W90DM web interface.

I’ve checked the following:

  • All devices are powered on and connected to the same network.
  • Firmware versions are the latest available.
  • Sync levels are set to automatic, but the issue persists.
  • No specific error codes are visible in the logs yet, but I can provide system logs if needed.

Could this be related to DECT signal interference, sync master configuration, or something else? Any suggestions for troubleshooting or resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Are the base stations located close enough to each other? We found with the W80 bases they all need to be far closer than we had expected, so we ended up having to set up a few different clusters for some locations.

For testing just put all the bases close together and see if they sync.

This issue is not related to VitalPBX at all, but lets see what we can do:

First, how many base stations do you have?
Are they all connected via Ethernet cable?
Did you set the IP of the W90DM in each base stations?
Have you set the DM with a fixed local IP? (Any power reboot might change the local IP from DHCP and screw it all).

Here is a screenshot of a paired bases

So make sure you enter the DM IP in the bases

Lastly, they can be tricky sometimes; performing reboots might help.
