VitalPBX External Email Server Port 25 Blocked

Hi

I am trying to configure VitalPBX to use exchange online via a connector. I have followed the Microsoft instructions and got everything configured but when doing a test email the connection to Exchange is timing out.

I logged into the CLI and installed / ran a telnet to the exchnage online address and it fails to connects, however it works fine from my laptop.

I have also tried another email server which i could connect to from my laptop, again via the CLI it fails.

Any ideas?

I have the pbx hosted on Azure which has port 25 open by default for outbound, i have also put in any / any outbound rule and gave it priroity so i dont believe anything on the Azure side is blocking it.

Since posting this I’ve found that Microsoft block port 25 for all VMs on certain subscriptions. I’m now looking at using Azure communication services to achieve this
