VitalPBX 4 extensions broken after an update

Experiencing an issue where extensions are broken after an apt update+upgrade was performed.
All extensions seem broken after making an update to a single extension.

Image of extension setup

Tried several reloads (VitalPBX 4 iso and Debian11+VPS). After restoring backup, the extensions cannot login.

Seems like a fresh config is needed. Will reply again if the same problem reoccurs. Fortunately this is not a production system yet.

Did a fresh reinstall with Debian + VPS. Without restoring my old backup, the PBX is effectively rebuilt (still 50+ extensions to create and finesse the call queues)

The error seems to related to the codecs of the extension, in your screenshot you dont show the codec section of the extension but you could have a wrong codec set there that is causing the config file to not be set properly.

What you have in the extension config file, most likely means something wrong with your codec setup as no other codec was set.

`allow=!all,`

By default an extension in which you dont set any specific codec for it will populate the extension config file like this.

`allow=!all,ulaw,alaw,gsm,g729,opus,h264,h263p,h263,vp8,vp9`

So fixing the codec setup for the extension I believe would fix your issue.

Ahhh… makes sense, although I don’t recall setting no codecs for all the extensions – likely did that as default profile setting and that snowballed.

Unfortunately, I already rebuilt the entire PBX from scratch and about to put into production.
