I’m trying to get inbound faxes to work on Virtual Faxes, but all it does it rings the extension fax is assigned to.
How do I get inbound to work?
V. 4.2.0-6 and I cannot update at this time to 4.5.

Inbound Routes. Use Fax as destination. That’s it.
That what I tried.
I have a FAX Device linked to extension.
But there is nothing in the destination that I can point at that FAX device beside the extension it is linked to.
Please read again what I wrote and try to do that. And you will succeed.
Fax as destination! Not extension as destination.
I guess you have the Fax Addon installed? Please check.
Then you will have a destination called Fax Devices.
I understand what you are saying.
I have Virtual Faxes license, but I do not have an option under Inbound Routes for Fax Devices.
Go Into PBX/Virtual Faxes/Fax Devices and create your fax devices, which can then be set as destination in your inbound route.
Already did that. It changed nothing.
Please send screenshots of fax device and all available destinations in inbound routes.
You need to reload tab in order for new objects to be available for it, did you do it already?

Please use all the vitalpbx commands as ssh/root that repair something.
If that does not help please see the FAQ section here. There should be a command to reinstall all vitalpbx packages.
Or can you update to 4.5?
Or reinstall fax addon.
Vitalpbx commands didn’t change anything.
I don’t see anything helpful in FAQ.
As previously stated, I cannot move to 4.5 right now.
Already tried re-installing fax add-on.

By any chance, do you have a screenshot of what Fax supposed to look like in Inbound Routes?

Use the search in the Destination for FAX.
