As of version 4.1.0-8 it is no longer possible to create an additional asterisk/vitalpbx conf file for custom sending of voicemail messages. Adding a file like voicemail__60-general.conf is now ignored and only the voicemail__10-general.conf file is recognized. I’m not sure if this is a bug or intended. If someone has information on this it would be appreciated as we have been using this for several years. Thanks
This is because of the latest changes related to the AI module. In the latest changes, the Voicemail transcription is now configurable from the PBX GUI and Voicemail e-mail now supports HTML.
Yes but correct me if I’m wrong
Unless you buy Carrier Plus or The One package you don’t get AI
This is Not great for us
Yes, the OpenAI module is only available for the Carrier Plus and VitalPBX One subscriptions!
Will you make a recommendation to the team to restore the old functionality until the user is using the AI module or AI transcription. It would be very simple to do.
No notice was given to the community that the old Google transcription would be taken away. We found out when our customers complained it was not working. Not a good way to do business.
And blogs are still live on the official VitalPBX page with instructions on setting up transcription.
Due to the implementation of HTML templates on Voicemail emails, the old functionality cannot be restored!
OK I will change the mailcmd a different way
Thank you
