We randomly see that Voicemail Transcriptions aren’t working.
It just shows:
--- Voicemail Transcription ---
But nothing is below that.
I see that in /etc/asterisk/vitalpbx/voicemail__10-general.conf that it uses /usr/share/vitalpbx/scripts/voicemail2email to process the emails, but that file is encrypted.
Are these transcription or mail attempts logged anywhere?
Since last update we have reports of the same issue.
We were not made aware that the update would break the current Voicemail transcription setup that was manually set up months ago.
When looking at the release notes of the latest update (4.1.0-8) we see that the API with OpenAI only applies to Carrier Plus and VitalPBX One subscriptions.
We luckily have the Carrier Plus but we dont see the API Key settings in Voicemail Settings.
Hello, we also noticed the same random issue with voicemail transcription.
We dont see an error message. The voicemail audio is very clear and should not be an issue.
Below is an example of a working transcription follow by a missing one.
Another voicemail was left and we got a transcription this time.
Weirdly, some text was added at the end that was not at all part of the voice message at all.
The part highlighted.
Translated, this added part says “Closed Captioning by the French Canadian Broadcasting Company”.
Did this improve for you in the latest update?
We have found that half of our transcriptions are now in Welsh rather than English which is quite exciting.
Hi All,
Just to let you know the latest version of the AI Assistants has fixed all our issues. You can now set a language and temperature (we like 0.2) and it seems to be working great.
