I first set the server for dhcp, but now want to use a static IP and DNS. I’ve edited /etc/network/interfaces as shown and rebooted the server but when I run nslookup, it still shows the dns from when the server was first set for dhcp. I checked /etc/resolv.conf and it is still shows the dns from what it got from dhcp. How do i set the static dns and have it use this instead of the one it got from dhcp earlier?
