SIP trunk multi-tenant

Hi All, i’m having some issue with configuring multi-tenant SIP trunks. The setup I prefer is to configure a SIP trunk for each tenant i create. Our provider uses a SIP trunks with different authentication for each seperate trunk.

I have configured a trunk on the main tenant and everything is working fine, inbound and outbound. When I configure a new tenant with SIP trunk I can add and register this trunk (as it seems) even make outbound calls are working. But when I configure an inbound rule something strange happens; when I dail the number it’s ringing and I see more than 300 outbound calls active…

Second strange thing is that when I alter the outbound settings this effects the inbound calls, then I get an error that the number has no route…are these two related?

Who has experience with setting up multi-tenant and authentication based SIP trunks? I need some help on this.

so…if I set the OUTBOUND failover to an extension on the main tenant the call goes to this destination…what is going on here…

So i’m a bit further on this. In a different post I saw that I could best register the trunks on the main tenant and create outbound routes there. I’ve got this working so outbount calls are working again. But still when I dail the number on the SIP trunk I get 60+ outbound calls to the incoming number (???)

I’ve attached the DID number to the tenant and created an inbound route there, matching the exact DID as it is coming in. No luck.

So a little more setup info:

  • I have setup a trunk on the main tenant
  • have setup an outbound route on the main tenant
  • have setup a route selection on the main tenant
  • on the Multi tenant I set the correct pfolies and set the DID to this tenant
  • on the tenant i have setup an inbound route with this DID
  • the provider uses the number format with +31

In the Class of Service, you must leave the default value unless you want to use this trunk/PBX for transit calls.

Hi Miguel, that seemed to have solved the problem :grinning:

Thank you very much. Regards!
