The feature on an extension to notify missed calls is great, but the issue is that if a call comes from a queue and is answered elsewhere then it still alerts. There could be a notify missed calls option on the queue, that honours the ‘callansweredelsewhere’ tag from asterisk . Or have the same option on the extension menu.
+1. We are experiencing the same issue. We use missed call notifications for customer follow-up, but when “Mark Canceled Calls as Answered” is enabled, queue calls that are answered by another agent still generate missed call notifications (Reason: CANCEL) for the remaining agents.
It would be helpful if VitalPBX honored this setting and suppressed missed call notifications for calls marked as Answered Elsewhere, while continuing to notify users of genuine missed calls. This would reduce unnecessary alerts and prevent duplicate callbacks to customers whose calls were already handled.
