Multiple External CID

Hi guys,

We just moved to VitalPBX from another solution, and we use VitalPBX as a multi-tenant platform.

Everything is working fine, but we are looking for a way to integrate the VitalPBX with the softphone application we are using.

In our softphone app, we have an option to allow our tenants to use multiple Caller IDs allocated to their accounts.

We have the next scenario, where a main number is allocated to the company, and several direct numbers are allocated to the employees. Employees should be able to make a call using the Main Number or with their own direct number. At the minute, we didn’t figure out how to configure VitalPBX for that. The support team asked to enable the Dynamic External CID option from the Advanced tab, but it still isn’t working.

Do you have any other ideas? That option use to work with the previous solution.

It’s working fine for us. We are using bria, Xlite and Microsip softphone.

We have allowed the following settings for the same.
Under Extension-

Under PJSIP profile as following-

And under Carrier trunk as following -

Please try and check.
Also, User/ agent/ customer has to change the outgoing caller id on the Phone / Softphone.

Thank you, it is working with MicroSIP, now I have to figure out how to change a couple of settings in my softphone to be able to take the right DID number for outgoing calls
