Inbound calls fail

I’m trying to configure a 1-number ‘trunk’ to our local VOIP provider. The number is/was working fine on a previous voip config (Fritzbox).

I defined the trunk with default settings. The PJSIP report shows a green status.

Outbound traffic over this connection works fine: I can dial out without any problem.

However, when I try to dial in, I get an automated message from the provider that the dialed number is not registered. When I power down the vitalpbx computer, this message stays the same, so I’m sure this message originates from the provider.

My Vitalpbx inbound rule is configured for “any DID/Any CID”, and has the same device I use for dialing out as its destination.

I was looking for a log file that could tell me more, but I cannot find anything usefull…
Anybody who can help me solving this issue?

Hello @tdemeyer,

Asterisk logs would normally be under /var/log/asterisk/full

However, I suggest first looking at the raw packets if the INVITE even hits your PBX. You can use a tool like sngrep [1] to monitor unencrypted SIP packets

OK, stupid mistake to start with… Forgot to open the inbound ports to the PBX…
So I opened inbound UPD 5060-5061 and UDP 10000-20000 to the PBX

I now have a constant Busy signal when calling the number. Will try SNGrep as suggested…
