We have tried the default config for Fanvil V Series on VitalPBX 4.5 and have had problems with it making calls out, it would reject the SDP in the Invite, also none of the BLF’s seemed to have propagated either.
Setting the phone up manually without provisioning works fine can call out no issue.
I used the export of that config and the provisioning one with windiff to work out the issues, and make a semi working config for Fanvil V Series Phones. I have attached the config to this for review and possible fixups for extra sip accounts and also fixed up the DSS Keys for loop.
Can you guys review and fixup the template for the Fanvil V Series, as the default one does not work out of the box.
This “reject the SDP in the Invite” problem I had with X6UV2.
Only a reboot every time after provisioning fixed it.
Does a reboot fix any of your V-Series problems?
Still, like you said, there is something wrong with the current config.
We have some V series on V4 and the issue we have is the phones randomly just stop being registered and say “registration timeout” when using the build in templates. We have had to divert them to our own provisioning template server until we find a fix.
It seems it still faults with the XxU Series phone, managed to get one to play with. That template above works with the V but not the XxU Series. Also the template will need to be adjusted for the DSS and Side Keys, it seems fanvil in their infinite wisdom reversed the names of these.
I managed to get my hand on a X5U to test with, I have a working template. Sorry I havent adapted it to VitalPBX Template format, I made it work in our own python one. But it would be easy enough to adapt.
We have some on prem Vital’s that would like to use this model phone, would be good to have it adapted and included in the next update. fanvil-xxu-series.txt (40.5 KB)
