Emergency Failover

Hi all. We are moving from a PBX that has Emergency Routing. It monitors extensions and if it sees that all are offline, it automatically kicks into emergency failover and we behave in a predetermined way.
Eg. If Site A goes offline, all calls are forward to the office mobile.
If Site B goes offline, calls go to a voicemail box that says “we are experiencing technical difficulties, please leave a message and we will return your call”

This is set on the call route based what that business/department need.

I cant see anything in Vital that would do this?

You can achieve something similar with queues. But it will monitor only the listed extensions in the Queue!

Hi Miguel, are you able to provide further detail on this? I cannot see how to achieve this?

  • Create a Queue
  • Set up the Agents
  • Set the Queue Param “Leave When Empty” to “Yes”
  • Select the Desired “Final Destination”
