DND - Revisited - Phone status and Extension status GUI

Hi
I am still new to vital pbx but getting the hang of it. Ta guys nice system
I refer to the extension status page and dnd notifications.

“With this module, you cannot only monitor the status of diversions, but you can manage them as needed. By clicking the radial button under any Diversion next to an Extension, you can enable and disable them immediately. We can Enable and Disable the Boss/Secretary, Personal Assistant, Follow-Me, and Do Not Disturb (DND)—as well as various call-forward diversions and Call Completion.”

I have Yealink phones now showing DND (large icon) on the phones (local_processing=1) and
updating blf status and the extension status page correctly. However i cannot change the phone DND status from the extension status page. If I do then the phone stays on DND and it becomes unavailable.
What I really want is for users to be able to change DND status via DND button and see local notification, AND for the extension status page to make the change and for that to be reflected on the phone and blf status so users (and others) can see the change (often when they return to their workstation).
I suspect I am doing something wrong here but cant work it out.

There is a field for a feature code for DND inside the yealink web configuration.
DND on and dnd off.
Try that first.

DND is *66
Toggle to enable or disable the Do Not Disturb feature. Feature must be enabled in the Feature Category associated with the extension.

The tooltip will help you for enable and disable.
I think it’s *66*1 for disable and *66*2 for enable. Not sure.

Hi I think you have not got the gist of my question.
Basically I have control of the local phones DND via codes. AND it updates blf and extension status in gui.
So my question is if the dnd status in the extension status(GUI) is toggles

  1. Does it or could it send a code to the phone ?
  2. If so what does it send ?
  3. If not, does it change the status in the pbx and then leave it inconsistent with the phone (this is my understanding !

As far as I know it’s inconsistent, since the pbx does not talk directly to the yealink regarding DND.
