DND feature code for Yealink template in VItal

The below configuration for DND works, and shows that a user is on DND for a Yealink T53 phone. The problem is that it does not push the extension status to the extension status page in Vital.

features.dnd.off_code = *79
features.dnd.on_code = *78

Dialing *66 feature code puts the phone on DND and shows in extension status in Vital, but does not put the DND symbol on the phone. We’ve tired *66 in the above template areas and it shows DND on the phone and extension status, but does not take the phone off DND when pressed again.

What is the proper configuration of DND for a Yelaink phone in Vital for the phone to show DND, be able to turn on/off DND with DND button, and show in extension status in Vital?

Hi, check the help by hover over the *66 code.
I thought *66*1 is on *66*2 is off. But please check.

Example then:
features.dnd.off_code =*66*1
features.dnd.on_code =*66*2

Thank you, we’ve applied the below and it turns DND off/on with the DND button on the phone.

features.dnd.off_code =662
features.dnd.on_code =661

When I try to turn off DND from Extension Status it does not take the phone off DND if initiated by the desk phone. Would you know why?

Sure because the phone does not monitor the DND Status. It only reacts if you push the DND button on the phone.

I would suggest you do this:
Don’t use the phones DND button at all. Maybe even get rid of it.
Better do a DND Button on a BLF key.

OK thank you, I will suggest to turn DND off on the phones. Just do a BLF with DND.
