I would like to use the default duplex paging but when someone is on the line instead of the phone ringing busy, it’s just dead air.
Is there a setting I can set that allows the line to ring busy instead of dead air.
It could be a setting in your phone that allows the Auto-Answer during a second call. Check the documentation of your Phone Provider!
I don’t think that is it as we use the same phones on asterisk vanilla and this issue doesn’t persist. Also the phones aren’t auto answering on a second call, they are ringing as a new call.(Not Auto Answer)
