Since Debian 12 is close to EOL for active support, are their any plans on supporting Debian 13?
So that’s a no to supporting Debian 13, when Official Security updates end in 4 months, probably with 12.13.
Not sure where you take this as a no. I also hope that there will be an upgrade to Debian 13.
The 11 → 12 update was/is really smooth. We still have 2-3 servers still on 11.
Any updates on Debian 13?
Debian 12 security updates ended on 2026-06-10
So now those servers will be exposed to any found security bugs.
Interessting topic but it’s not true what you say.
Debian 12 will receive critical security updates till June 2028.
You might want to look at the chart above that Miguel posted.
It clearly shows Debian Security Support for Debian 12 ended on 10 Jun 2026.
But yes, only “Critical” security fixes would be issued for some standard repos until 30 Jun 2028.
I know there are programming differences between 12 & 13.
Some others have already switched to supporting Debian 13, just wanted to know when VitalPBX may follow.
Will VPBX v5 still upgrade from VPBX4 on Debian 12?
I don’t think so! It’s built from scratch. So, many paths and folder structures have changed.
Will there be a way to backup the config and then restore back to the new system?
“Built from scratch” sounds quite scary. Is there a beta available for testing?
Not yet! But we would work on that!
Yes, but it was required to make the app API first and update the technologies!
awesome !! I can’t wait it
