Changing Extension names with ARI or AMI or VitalPBX REST API

Hi Guys,

I have been exploring using the ARI Websocket to listen to extension activity on a VitalPBX4 instance, which is working perfectly, however, there is one thing that I want to be able to do that is illuding me. I am potentially able to make database updates to the ombu_extensions table to update the Name and internal_cid column for an extension, but I would prefer to do it in a less invasive way by using ARI, AMI or the VitalPBX REST API, does anyone know if this is possible, my googling powers have come up short or led me down some deep rabbit holes that ended up leading me astray. Any help would be appreciated.

The Current Rest API doesn’t support updating data for extensions!!!

Thanks for the quick reply, does that also include ARI and AMI? Can I ask why? And could it possibly be something in the pipeline to be added?
