Can't send email from new install

2 fresh installs and both cant send email’s, I used same settings as on other servers but not working on new servers. from command line if I do this it works on all other servers but not on new installs. Is something missing on new install (mail command not found)

[root@dassmcc ~]# echo “What’s up” | mail -s Test gary@xxxxxxxxx.com
-bash: mail: command not found

Is it installed?

yum install mailx

It is now, I guess it was installed by default before.
