# VitXi - Version 4.2.0-2 Released!

We are thrilled to announce the release of **Version 4.2.0-2** of VitXi! This update includes a variety of improvements, and issue fixes to improve your user experience.

**Added** :

- Video calls now default to the **VP8** codec as the preferred option.
- New command to fix file permissions:  
`cd /usr/share/vitxi/backend/`  
`php artisan app:fix-permissions`

**Improvements:**

- Enhanced security for private files with signature validation.
- Significant improvements to file and media handling, streamlining your chat experience in VitXi.
- Users will no longer be redirected to the chat view if they lack chat permissions, improving navigation.

**Fixes:**

- Text cannot be pasted into chats.
- Voicemail deletion issues.
- Auto-answer issue after logging in.
- Incoming calls do not correctly hide the notification modal.
- Fixed the dialpad activation issue when sending DTMF during a call.
- Readability of the VitXi Login screen in dark mode.
