# Changing outbound caller ID.

Hey everyone! I have multiple numbers for multiple companies and I want to be able to change my outbound CID at will but I am having some issues trying to achieve that. I saw something about using a “Short code” but not context so not sure if that’s possible. If it is I would like to have it setup where I dial something like 001 for a number 002 for another number and so on. Thank you!

See Wiki Outbound Routes (Class of Service)  
You will use Prefix in Outbound Routes.  
This is exactly what you need.

So if i want 2 to use the CID 8005555555 the it should look like this?

The issue was the pattern was incorrect. I put a \* in it and that was causing it to fail.
